Audiology - an unexpected update

Kids, hair and scissors

When I was about 5-6 years old my dad and I lived in Beijing, China. My mother had been with us our first year there but had returned to Sweden the second year for work. One day my dad and I visited friends - a dad and his daughter, my age, if I remember correctly. Don't think there was anyone else and unsure if the girl was my friend and the reason we visited or if it was my dad's friend and his daughter. In any case we were both going through an age when we were inexplicably interested in cutting the hair and fur off our dolls and animals. One of us had the brilliant idea of locking ourselves in one of the bathrooms while our dads were busy chatting. There were scissors that made it in with us. Then we cut each others (or maybe our own) hair. At the time I had a fringe that I never liked and wanted to grow out, but I was constantly told I could only grow it out when I was responsible enough to keep it out of my eyes with hair clips and bands. Bird poo gate

Been putting dodgy stuff in my gob (unintentionally) again 🙈...  If you've missed it I've attached my mouldy bread saga from a few months ago you can find it HERE Just before lunchtime the three kids and I had a joint dentist appointment. The eldest had gone to school on the bus this morning but I didn't bother with the nursery run as I'd spend more time walking to and from school than at home. It turned out to be a bird (presumably it had flown in when my husband was taking out the dog food bag from my boot earlier that morning). I swore as soon as I saw it as I thought it would be a pain to get it out, it zoomed out as soon as I opened a door though. Everything good so far! Buckled the little ones in. Sat down and reversed out the garage. Once we were out in d...

Mouldy bread

This is me, 16:30 on a Friday afternoon. Nursing a beer and I've had a wee dram of whisky already and I'll tell you for why. Mouldy fucking bread. Not my kids, not because it's Friday, not because I've done anything to deserve a drink. Just. Mouldy. Fucking. Bread. Inside. Me. I felt peckish when I was preparing the kids dinner and was delighted to see there was some salmon and cream cheese mix left from our lunch (bagels: Nom!). Thought it would go nicely on some toast. Kids were being pricks (did I mention it's Friday = everyone being over tired) and I barely avoided burning their pizzas, most definitely did not think to check my bread. Sat down and it was about 3/4 into the first slice of toast with smoked salmon and cream cheese that I noticed mould patches along all the crusts. BOKE!!!! After three pregnancies where I've done nothing but puke my gag reflex is pretty sensitive... I quickly dumped the toddler in the travel cot and ran to stick ...
